As a Design Leader, I’ve setup several design practices, established experience design consulting services and scaled Design Thinking capabilities across the enterprise. To me, Design is a critical enabler for innovation, foresight and strategy for organizations. If it is not delivering on these promises, it is time for a re-evaluation of design function.

IDEATE Innovation

Co-founded and scaled Pakistan’s leading Design & Innovation firm, IDEATE Innovation which is in 5th year of operation and has worked on several Design Thinking, Service Design, Digital Product Design engagements with global organizations like GSM Alliance, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Nestle, Telenor, Veon (Jazz), Etisalat (PTCL) and several Digital Banks

Design Systems

Spearheaded the Design & Implementation of open-source Design System – Friday for e-commerce and enterprise applications. It included React, Angular and Static Components libraries for UI components. We optimized Designers’ experience using Figma Design Kit, and Developers’ experience using Storybook based documentation with accessibility and automated testing integrated. As a sponsor, I communicated the value to internal and external stakeholders, documented and shared wins & benefits as well for Design Systems.

Scaling Enterprise Design Thinking

I’ve led an initiative to scale design thinking across the enterprise by training people on Design Thinking with blended learning curriculum and hands-on cross-functional team project. Trained 60+ people on basic Design Thinking curriculum of IBM and 14 people on advanced Design Thinking course along with projects.
